Recruitment materials and presentations accurately represent the institution's practices and policies.
[Compliance]
Narrative:
The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is in compliance with Principle 4.6 because recruitment materials and presentations are developed in-house by a close collaboration between colleges and departments, Office of Admissions, and University Relations. Many of these publications are produced annually in order to maintain up-to-date information.
New material is obtained from various sources such as college representatives, research units, Office of Admissions, Office of Institutional Research, University Relations, as well as third party sources such as Barrons Review, and US News and World Report. Great care is given to ensure information is straightforward, easily verifiable and not misleading. All photos appearing in the publications are taken by a University photographer. There are no stock photographs.
The agreed upon material is then presented to University Relations to produce the actual publication. They review the design, layout, and formatting; then return a black and white proof for review by all involved parties. University Relations ensures that all publications are in compliance with the information contained in the UAH Undergraduate Catalog 2003-2005 and the UAH Graduate Catalog 2003-2005. Major publications, such as the UAH Viewbook are presented to President for final approval.
A review of the current recruitment materials found no violation in the representation of the institution's practices and policies.
