Narrative:
The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is in compliance with Principle 3.4.12 because the UAH Faculty Handbook , Chapter 4, Section 7 outlines faculty participation in comprehensive five-year program reviews; Chapter 6, Section 1 outlines faculty participation in shared governance; Chapter 6, Section 3 outlines the responsibility of the Graduate Council for the graduate curriculum oversight; Chapter 8, Section 3 specifies procedures for changes in curriculum. The UAH Curriculum Guidebook 2004-2005 details the process for faculty involvement in curriculum development. The UAH Graduate School Handbook 2003 outlines the responsibilities of the Graduate Council in Section II.D ; Section IV.A outlines the process for adding or modifying graduate courses; Section IV.B . outlines the process for initiating new graduate degree programs; Section IV.C outlines the process for initiating new options within existing graduate programs.
